Skywriting – making radio wavesis her entertaining, insightful memoir of an award-winning radio career. Robyn was a poet and performance artist before she joined the ABC in the 1970s. Her memoir is a captivating story of contemporary Australian cultural life and a personal biography of an acclaimed ‘radio poet’, giving insight into the making of her distinctive radio features and documentaries.

Robyn’s radio work is renowned for vividly conveying ideas, personalities, and places. Skywriting takes us from the youthful foment that rocked the ABC in the 70s, to the age of podcasting.

It’s a love letter to the radio feature, a unique form of storytelling that has explored and contributed to shaping our culture, a story not previously told.
